CERTIFIED ORGANIC. Our olive oil is certified organic, which means that our olives are grown without the use of any pesticides whatsoever.
TRULY EXTRA VIRGIN. Our olive oil has an oleic acid content of just 0.26 percent, which is far below the cutoff of 0.80 percent required to be considered extra virgin olive oil. The peroxide level is 7.8 milliequivalents per kilogram, compared to a cutoff of 20.0 to be considered extra virgin.
GROWN BY SMALL SCALE FAMILY FARMERS. Our olives are grown and harvested in small batches by family farmers in the Messinia region of southern Greece., near Kalamata.
MADE FROM KORONEIKI OLIVES. Our oil is made from 100 percent Koroneiki olives, which are known for their high biophenol levels and distinctive flavor of ripe olive fruit.
